The apple grinder and cider press is a collaborative piece made with Dan Darrell-Sterback. The apple grinder is adapted from plans by Matthias Wandel through his amazing work at: woodgears.ca
The grinder is made from cherry, ash, and black walnut. The cider press and stand is made from ash harvested on Dan’s property. The original version had a hand crank to grind the apples. That lasted about one day.
The Darrell-Sterbacks now host an annual cider pressing party.
